Set on the banks of the Thornapple River in Cascade, MI, this project was inspired by the landscape itself. With a river view this stunning, the design called for a layout that embraced the natural beauty while adding thoughtful outdoor amenities. We built a spacious patio, a gourmet outdoor kitchen, and a cozy fire pit area—all carefully positioned to maximize sightlines and flow.
Natural outcropping ledgestone was used on the hillside to provide both structure and a seamless transition into the environment. The stonework acts as a subtle anchor for the space, enhancing the design without distracting from the view. It’s a perfect example of how Walden Design balances form and function to celebrate nature while supporting your lifestyle.
